Jeff Jackson wins 14th Congressional District seat

Jeff Jackson won election to North Carolina's 14th Congressional District.

RALEIGH — Democratic State Sen. Jeff Jackson has won the new 14th Congressional District seat over Republican challenger Pat Harrigan.

“Tonight’s victory is in a new district — offering an opportunity for a new start and a new set of expectations,” Jackson said in a statement Tuesday night. “It’s the honor of a lifetime to be chosen to serve the people of North Carolina’s 14th District in Congress, and I’m looking forward to using this office to do important things for the people who live here.”

After abandoning a run for U.S. Senate in December 2021, Jackson entered the 14th District race after a court-drawn map changed district lines approved by the General Assembly in February 2022.
