RALEIGH — The Eli Young Band’s Strange Hours Tour made a memorable stop in Raleigh on Sunday night, transforming Bowstring Pizza & Brewyard into a night of high-energy country music and crowd-swaying singalongs.

The Texas-based group, known for heartfelt storytelling and a signature country-rock sound, reminded fans why they’ve remained one of the most respected acts in modern country for more than two decades.

The setlist spanned fan favorites and deep cuts alike, keeping the audience engaged from start to finish. Songs like “Love Ain’t” and “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” had the crowd singing every word, while frontman Mike Eli led the charge with warmth and easy charisma. Between songs, Eli shared stories and connected effortlessly with fans, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and electric.

The night reached its peak with “Crazy Girl,” the band’s chart-topping anthem that closed the show in unforgettable fashion. As the opening chords rang out, the crowd erupted — a perfect ending to an evening steeped in nostalgia, connection and pure musical joy.

Opening the show was Ellrod, a new country artist making his live debut. His acoustic set — full of heartfelt vocals and genuine emotion — quickly won over the crowd. Confident yet unassuming, he set the tone for an unforgettable night and left many eager to hear more from the rising performer.

Together, Ellrod and the Eli Young Band turned a quiet Sunday evening in Raleigh into something special — a reminder of the magic that happens when great artists and fans share one small space, all for the love of music.
