Is there room in your Inn?

During the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, there is often no time left for the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas has become a viral frenzy of shopping, parties, and everything celebrated. It occurred to me that if I honored Christ by spending as much time in His Word as I do in preparing for the gift-giving season, I would most likely reflect Him much more. The true reason the season was born is because Jesus, the Christ Child, was born.

I wonder this Christmas—can we make room in our “Inn” for Jesus, that is, in our hearts? Spending time with Christ is the greatest gift that we can give to our Savior during this season and throughout the year. As we celebrate with friends and family, may we remember that day in Bethlehem when Jesus Christ was born in a lowly stable, with no room in the Inn, to save us from our sins. Let’s make room for Him this Christmas.

“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” (NKJV Luke 2:7)
