Foushee reelected to 4th District U.S. House seat

RALEIGH — Freshman Congresswoman Valerie Foushee has won reelection to her North Carolina 4th Congressional District seat.

Results are still being finalized, however the Associated Press has called the race for Foushee, who at this time has taken in 74.90% of the vote over her challengers, Republican Eric Blankenburg and Libertarian candidate Guy Meilleur.

Foushee was first elected during the 2022 general election and took office in January 2021. She succeeded longtime 4th District Congressman David Price.

Prior to running for Congress, Foushee was a member of the North Carolina General Assembly Senate. She served four and a half terms representing Orange County.
