RALEIGH — Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry has won western N.C.’s 10th U.S. Congressional District race against Democratic challenger Pam Genant.
With nearly half the precincts reporting, McHenry led with more than 68% of the vote.
McHenry is a realtor who was first elected in 2004. He is in line to become the Financial Services Committee chairman in the next Congress if Republicans win the majority, as most expect.
