Kathy Manning wins reelection for 6th Congressional District

RALEIGH — Democrat Kathy Manning has won reelection for North Carolina’s 6th Congressional District.

Manning took in almost 54% of the vote, defeating Republican Christian Castelli and Libertarian Thomas Watercott.

Manning, from Greensboro, beat Republican Lee Haywood in 2020 for the seat. She took in just over 62% of the vote in that matchup.

Prior to her 2020 run for the 6th District, Manning ran unsuccessfully in 2016 for North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District against then-Rep. Ted Budd. Manning lost to Budd by a margin of 6%.
