FT. BRAGG — President Donald Trump postponed a Fayetteville rally due to Tropical Storm Zeta, but still visited the nearby U.S. Army installation at Fort Bragg for what the White House described as a “troop engagement.”

The president was joined Thursday evening by his wife, Melania Trump.

The president’s campaign said in a statement that the outdoor rally has been postponed until Monday because of a wind advisory that has gusts reaching 50 mph and severe weather. More than 459,000 residents lost power as the storm swept across the state.
