RALEIGH — North Carolina House Speaker Destin Hall (R-Granite Falls) set a new off-year  fundraising record for a sitting speaker with $1.2 million in total contributions for 2025.

According to a press release from Hall’s office, that amount is “the highest 12-month amount raised in an off-year by any member of the North Carolina House in the history of the chamber.”

“Our amazingly successful 2025 demonstrates that North Carolinians trust our leadership and support the direction we’re taking the state,” Hall said. “The House Republican Caucus is well-positioned to retain and grow our majority and continue delivering results for North Carolina families and businesses.”

The release also boasted historic fundraising by the House Republican Caucus, raising $2.2 million during the off-year. That’s a higher total than during prior years and over 2.5 times what the caucus raised in 2023.

The Caucus reported $1.7 million in cash on hand hearing into the 2026 elections, calling it “the strongest cash position in the history of the Caucus.”

Hall’s off-year haul is impressive and is on the same trajectory as Sen. Michael Lee’s over $3.3 million, which he raised during the 2024 election cycle, which included the reelection of President Donald Trump.
