RALEIGH — King and Co LLC, one of North Carolina’s fastest-growing government affairs and strategic consulting firms, announced Guilford County Commissioner Patrick Tillman has joined the company as vice president of government affairs.
King and Co LLC operates as a multistate government affairs and consulting firm, operating offices in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Michigan and Washington, D.C.
“Pat has spent his career solving hard problems in education, healthcare, and local government, and he has earned the trust of leaders across the state,” said Sebastian King, the firm’s managing partner. “Our clients are going to feel the impact immediately.”
The King & Co press release cites Tillman’s experience serving on his local school board, highlighting involvement in education funding, school operations, healthcare policy, nonprofit advocacy and local government budgeting.
“I am honored to join Sebastian and the entire King and Co team,” Tillman said. “This firm has quickly built a reputation for delivering results for clients in Raleigh and DC. I look forward to putting my experience to work for them.”
Tillman’s family legacy of public service was also highlighted. His father, the late Sen. Jerry Tillman, served two decades in the state Senate, including as majority whip.
The firm works with major developers, private companies, statewide associations and towns on issues ranging from land-use and healthcare to education and regulatory strategy.
“Adding Pat to our team is a signal of where this firm is headed,” King said. “We are building a bench of practitioners who have actually held the pen on policy — not just observed it. Pat strengthens every practice area we have.”
