Republican candidates join Congressional races in NC-01, NC-11

RALEIGH — Two more Republicans have joined NC Congressional races in the past few weeks.

Adam Smith, a Green Beret Veteran and self-described “Hurricane Helene Relief Leader” has entered the NC-11 race. That seat is currently held by Republican U.S. Rep. Chuck Edwards. For more information on Smith, visit:  www.AdamRSmithforNC.com.

In the NC-01 race, Eric Rouse has joined the Republican field challenging incumbent Rep. Don Davis, a Democrat. Rouse, the vice chair of the Lenoir County Board of Commissioners, is the third Republican to announce their candidacy for the seat, joining Sen. Bobby Hanig (R-Currituck) and Rocky Mount Mayor Sandy Roberson.
