Western Carolina lost to East Tennessee State in the Blue Ridge Border Battle. Livingstone won the Commemorative Classic over Johnson C. Smith.
Homecoming: Winston-Salem State won on homecoming to move North Carolina teams to 22-9 on that weekend. Charlotte has homecoming this week, one of two homecoming games remaining on the state’s schedule this season.
Senior Day: NC State lost to Duke on Senior Day. St. Andrews lost to Bluefield, and Greensboro lost to Maryville. Meanwhile, Davidson, NC Wesleyan, Livingstone, Wingate, UNC Pembroke and Chowan won on their Senior Days. That puts teams in the state at 9-7 when saying goodbye to the class of 2024 so far this season. Elon, Gardner-Webb, NC Central, Western Carolina, Barton, Catawba, Lenoir-Rhyne, Guilford and Methodist all play Senior Day games this week.
