Republican Chuck Edwards wins reelection to NC’s 11th Congressional District

RALEIGH — Incumbent Congressman Chuck Edwards has won reelection as the representative for North Carolina’s 11th District.

While results are still not yet final, Edwards at this time has received almost 56% of the vote to defeat Democratic challenger Caleb Rudow.

Edwards easily defeated Christian Reagan in the March 5 Primary to advance to the General Election with almost 70% of the vote.

He was first elected to the 11th District during the 2022 cycle and took office in January 2023. The seat was previously held by Madison Cawthorn, who Edwards defeated in the primary that year in order to advance to the General Election.

Prior to running for Congress, Edwards was elected in 2016 the North Carolina Senate; succeeding one of the most powerful legislators at the time, Tom Apodaca.

Edwards, a Hendersonville businessman, lives in Flatrok with his wife Teresa.
