Queens, UNCG, Campbell, NC A&T and Elon all lost

WILMINGTON — KJ Jenkins scored 24 points and made seven 3-pointers to help UNC Wilmington defeat Drexel 75-56 on Thursday night.

Jenkins was 7 of 14 shooting, including 7 for 13 from 3-point range, for the Seahawks (17-6, 8-3 Coastal Athletic Association). Trazarien White added 15 points and six rebounds. Donovan Newby finished with 13 points.

The Dragons (15-9, 8-3) were led in scoring by Jamie Bergens, who finished with 16 points. Justin Moore added 11 points for Drexel. In addition, Luke House had seven points.

White scored 11 points in the first half and UNC Wilmington went into halftime trailing 29-28. Jenkins scored 21 in the second half.

Stony Brook 79, Elon 64

ELON — Tyler Stephenson-Moore scored 27 points as Stony Brook beat Elon 79-64 on Thursday night.

Stephenson-Moore also contributed six rebounds for the Seawolves (13-11, 6-5 Coastal Athletic Association). Aaron Clarke scored 22 points and added seven assists. Dean Noll finished with 14 points.

TK Simpkins led the Phoenix (10-14, 3-8) in scoring, finishing with 15 points and 10 assists. Sam Sherry added 15 points and two blocks for Elon. In addition, Max Mackinnon finished with seven points.

Stony Brook took the lead with 17:30 left in the first half and did not relinquish it. The score was 35-27 at halftime, with Stephenson-Moore racking up 12 points. Stephenson-Moore scored 15 points in the second half.

Northeastern 86, Campbell 76

BUIES CREEK — Luka Sakota scored 24 points as Northeastern beat Campbell 86-76 on Thursday night.

Sakota was 7 of 13 shooting, including 5 for 10 from 3-point range, for the Huskies (9-15, 4-7 Coastal Athletic Association). Rashad King scored 17 points, and Harold Woods finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Anthony Dell’Orso led the way for the Fighting Camels (11-13, 5-6) with 23 points and six rebounds. Jasin Sinani added 18 points and two steals. Elijah Walsh finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.

Northeastern took the lead with 17:32 left in the first half and never looked back. King led their team in scoring with nine points in the first half to help put them ahead 42-29 at the break.

Charleston 80, North Carolina A&T 58

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Ben Burnham’s 21 points helped Charleston defeat North Carolina A&T 80-58 on Thursday night.

Burnham shot 9 for 18 for the Cougars (17-7, 8-3 Coastal Athletic Association). Reyne Smith scored 17 points, and Ante Brzovic finished with 11.

Nikolaos Chitikoudis led the Aggies (7-17, 5-6) with 17 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks. Camian Shell added 16 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Samford 78, UNC Greensboro 69

GREENSBORO — Jaden Campbell scored 17 points as Samford beat UNC Greensboro 78-69 on Thursday night.

Campbell shot 5 for 5 (4 for 4 from 3-point range) for the Bulldogs (21-3, 10-1 Southern Conference). Achor Achor scored 16 points and added seven rebounds. Jermaine Marshall finished with 16 points.

The Spartans (17-7, 8-3) were led in scoring by Keyshaun Langley, who finished with 19 points. Mikeal Brown-Jones added 15 points and 11 rebounds for UNC Greensboro. In addition, Kobe Langley had 10 points, six assists and four steals.

Lipscomb 90, Queens 88

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Derrin Boyd scored 29 points, including a game-winning reverse layup in the final second, and Lipscomb defeated Queens 90-88 on Thursday night.

Boyd was 10 of 13 shooting, including 5 for 6 from 3-point range, for the Bisons (15-10, 6-4 Atlantic Sun Conference). Owen McCormack scored 13 points and added seven rebounds. Will Pruitt had 13 points and was 5 of 13 shooting.

AJ McKee finished with 23 points and two blocks for the Royals (10-15, 4-6). Queens also got 22 points, 11 rebounds and six assists from Deyton Albury. In addition, BJ McLaurin finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.
