The Carolina Panthers will not have starting quarterback Bryce Young for Sunday’s game at Seattle. Young missed his second straight practice on Thursday after suffering an ankle injury during the team’s “Monday Night Football” loss to the Saints.

The Panthers offense has struggled under Young, who was the top pick in this year’s NFL Draft. He has thrown for two touchdowns and a total of 299 yards in his two games in the league, both Panthers losses.

Veteran Andy Dalton, who got his first playing time of the season with one snap — a pitch to the running back — on Monday, is expected to start after taking the first-team reps in practice.

This will be the sixth straight season that the Panthers have had multiple quarterbacks start a game. Cam Newton started all 16 games in 2017.
