UNCG picked up a win; Elon and N.C. A&T lose

WILMINGTON — Trazarien White had 19 points in UNC Wilmington’s 85-82 victory against High Point on Sunday.

White added six rebounds for the Seahawks (9-3). Noah Ross scored 15 points and added six rebounds. Shykeim Phillips finished with 15 points as the Seahawks picked up their eighth straight win.

Jaden House led the way for the Panthers (8-3) with 25 points and two steals. High Point also got 18 points from Abdoulaye. Zach Austin also recorded nine points.

UNC Greensboro 120, Warren Wilson 48

GREENSBORO — Keyshaun Langley had 19 points to help UNC Greensboro defeat Warren Wilson 120-48 on Sunday.

Langley was 6 of 8 shooting (5 for 7 from distance) for the Spartans (6-6). Mikeal Brown-Jones shot 6 of 6 from the field and 5 for 5 from the line to add 17 points. Keondre Kennedy finished with 16 points.

Adonis King led the way for the Owls with 12 points and seven rebounds. Tairque Kaiser added 10 points.

Valparaiso 71, Elon 66

VALPARAISO, Ind. — Kobe King scored 21 points and Valparaiso beat Elon 71-66 on Sunday. Quinton Green scored 16 points with six rebounds for the Beacons (5-7). Connor Barrett hit three 3-pointers and scored 13.

Max Mackinnon finished with 18 points, six rebounds and two steals to pace the Phoenix (2-10). Sam Sherry added 12 points and seven rebounds, while Sean Halloran had 11 points and three steals.

Valparaiso was outscored by eight points in the second half.

Norfolk State 70, N.C. A&T 66

LAS VEGAS — Dana Tate had 24 points in Norfolk State’s 70-66 win against N.C. A&T in the HBCU Challenge on Sunday.

Kris Bankston scored 16 points and added eight rebounds and three blocks for the Spartans (9-4). Joe Bryant Jr. scored 12 points.

Kam Woods finished with 15 points and six assists for the Aggies (5-6). Marcus Watson added 12 points for N.C. A&T. Demetric Horton also recorded 11 points, six rebounds and three steals.
