Over 2.5 million in state have recovered from COVID-19

RALEIGH — The estimated number of patients presumed to be recovered from symptoms from COVID-19 stood at 2,534,052 as of the latest report from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services on Monday, Feb. 28. 

NCDHHS estimates a median time to recovery of 14 days from the date of specimen collection for non-fatal COVID-19 cases who were not hospitalized. The estimated median recovery time is 28 days from the date of specimen collection for hospitalized non-fatal COVID-19 cases.
