President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address came at a time when he has seen a precipitous drop in national polls.

Two new surveys show Biden’s approval rating below 40% – one from The Washington Post/ABC, which has the president at 37%, and the other from USA Today, at 39%.

Additionally, a CNN poll last week found that 56% of Americans who disapprove of Biden say they approve of ‘nothing’ he has done since becoming president.

“Americans agree: the state of the union is worse after one year under Joe Biden,” an email from the Republican National Committee says.
