CHARLESTON, S.C. — Jaylen Sims had a season-high 24 points and Shykeim Phillips added 20 points as UNC Wilmington topped Charleston 86-78 on Monday night.

Jaylen Fornes had 16 points for UNC Wilmington (9-5, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association), which earned its sixth consecutive win.

John Meeks scored a season-high 27 points for the Cougars (9-6, 1-2). Reyne Smith added 17 points and Dimitrius Underwood had 13 points and nine rebounds.

Elon 90, James Madison 67

ELON — Kris Wooten had a career-high 23 points as Elon easily beat James Madison 90-67 on Monday.

Hunter McIntosh had 18 points for Elon (5-13, 2-3 Colonial Athletic Association). Darius Burford added 16 points and Michael Graham had 10 points and four assists.

Takal Molson had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Dukes (11-4, 2-2). Terrence Edwards added 17 points and Vado Morse had 10 points.

Florida Atlantic 96, Charlotte 67

BOCA RATON, Fla. — Alijah Martin had 20 points as Florida Atlantic easily defeated Charlotte 96-67 on Monday.

Bryan Greenlee had 16 points for Florida Atlantic (9-8, 2-2 Conference USA). Vladislav Goldin and Michael Forrest each had 14 points.

Florida Atlantic posted a season-high 16 3-pointers.

Jahmir Young scored a career-high 30 points for the 49ers (9-6, 2-1), whose four-game win streak ended. Austin Butler added 13 points and eight rebounds.
