ULAH — The Uwharrie Charter Eagles advanced to the third round of the 1A state baseball playoffs after another impressive offensive and defensive performance. The Eagles scored 11 runs for the second time in these state playoffs, this time for an 11-2 win over the Murphy Bulldogs. Uwharrie defeated Chatham Charter 11-0 in the first round.
The Eagles will face their first road game of the playoffs when they face East Surry Saturday in Pilot Mountain at 7pm.
