A book written by Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has been removed from presale lists according to multiple outlets.

The book, titled, The book, Expect the Unexpected: Ten Lessons on Truth, Service, and the Way Forward, was set for publication on Nov. 2 and was open earlier in the week for preorder, according to Newsweek.

A Fox News report stated that the book appeared to have been scrubbed from Amazon and other major distributors following the release of thousands of his emails on Wednesday.

The emails, which have drawn widespread attention and criticism, show how Dr. Fauci opposed mask-wearing, interacted with officials who said the virus looked engineered, and other items critical of former President Donald Trump.

“The book was developed by National Geographic Books in connection with an upcoming National Geographic Documentary Film about Dr. Fauci. Nat Geo drew from interviews and speeches delivered by Dr. Fauci for the book. He will not earn any royalties from its publication and was not paid (same for the upcoming documentary). It was prematurely posted for pre-sale (which is why you see it was taken down),” a National Geographic spokeswoman told Fox News.
