RALEIGH – The White House announced on Sunday that President Joe Biden would come to Raleigh on Thursday, June 24.

An email sent from the White House press office said that President Biden would travel to Raleigh to highlight the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination effort.

The statement said that the president would “highlight the ease of getting vaccinated, encourage vaccinations, and mobilize grassroots vaccine education and outreach efforts.”

The visit comes a week after Vice President Kamala Harris visited Greenville, SC to tout vaccinations and Biden’s first official trip to North Carolina since becoming president.
