RALEIGH – Gov. Roy Cooper, leaders of both parties of the N.C. House and Senate, and State Superintendent Catherine Truitt are set to make a joint announcement at 11 a.m. at Bicentennial Plaza in Raleigh.

After a standoff over Cooper’s veto of SB 37 and failed override efforts, it appears discussions between the leaders over how involved the state should be in full-time in-person instruction has been resolved.

During yesterday’s press briefing, Cooper said an announcement was ‘imminent,’ and that the leaders had been engaged in discussions.
