Cooper ‘likely’ to ease some COVID-19 restrictions

RALEIGH – Gov. Roy Cooper will announce the easing of some COVID-19 restrictions at his next virtual press conference, Raleigh TV station WRAL reported. Per an email from his office, the press conference is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m.

Describing the news as “major,” WRAL reported Gov. Cooper will likely increase capacity at indoor and outdoor sporting events, allow indoor seating at bars, increase capacity for restaurants, and ease the state’s curfew.
