RALEIGH — President Donald Trump announced a new office which will handle his correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities. The Office of the Former President will advance the interests of the United States and to carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism, according to a brief statement.

The release was sent from Palm Beach County, Florida, which is the location of Trump’s famous Mar-a-Lago Club. The release closed saying, “President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American People.”

Trump’s announcement of his next steps comes less than a week after his successor, Joe Biden, was inaugurated. Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama, formally announced his Obama Foundation on January 20, 2017, the day of Trump’s inauguration.

The Trump release came from a new web site, 45office.com.
