WASHINGTON, D.C. – The 13 members of the U.S. House of Representatives voted along partisan lines in Wednesday’s impeachment vote against President Donald Trump.

All 5 of the state’s Democrats voted to impeach President Trump and 7 Republicans voted against impeachment. Rep. Greg Murphy (NC-03) did not vote due to a family matter, although he said he would have voted against the action in a statement.

Outgoing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said a trial would not start before Democrats take power on Jan. 20.
