Andrew Heath appointed as Director of N.C. Administrative Office of the Courts

Judge Andrew Heath of Wake County

RALEIGH – Andrew Heath, a Wake County Superior Court judge, has been named by Chief Justice Paul Newby to serve as the Director of the N.C. Administrative Office of the Courts.

Heath previously served at the N.C. Industrial Commission chairman and state budget director under former Gov. Pat McCrory.

The N.C. Administrative Office of the Courts provides centralized administration and budgeting services for the state’s courts including budgeting, equipment and supply purchasing, printing, computer applications development, and legal support.

A Judicial Branch spokesperson confirmed that Heath would start on Jan. 8.

Heath received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management at UNC Asheville and his law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

He and his wife, Kristen, live in Raleigh have two children.
