The North Carolina basketball team will have to wait to get a chance at avenging its first ever loss to Clemson in Chapel Hill.

Its scheduled game against the 19th-ranked Tigers at Smith Center on Saturday has been postponed because of a positive test, subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within Clemson’s program.

While that game has been put on hold, another one has been added to the Tar Heels’ schedule.

Coach Roy Williams’ team will now play Syracuse at Smith Center on Tuesday in a date originally scheduled for January 2 and postponed because of COVID-19 issues among the Orange.

The game will be played at 9 p.m. with television coverage on ACC Network.

UNC (7-4, 2-2 ACC) has won its past two games, including a 67-65 victory at Miami last Tuesday.
