As we approach Thanksgiving and a holiday season under the cloud of uncertainty, we all have areas of our lives for which we should be thankful. Living in the United States is, for many, still the greatest place to live on Earth. Having another opportunity to celebrate the holidays is another.

James 1:17 tells us that every good gift comes from God. As we approach Thanksgiving celebrations, we should be mindful of the gifts we continue to receive even though we also face hardships and setbacks. As we gather together for Thanksgiving traditions, we should remember the gifts we receive are divine and they are represented by relationships, opportunities and time.

James 1:17

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
