DeViere holds off Meredith in 2018 rematch

State Sen. Kirk DeViere won re-election to the N.C. Senate.

Democratic incumbent state Sen. Kirk DeViere defeated Republican former state Sen. Wesley Meredith in a rematch of their 2018 race for the state’s 19th District.

DeViere won by around 3,000 votes to return to Raleigh for a second term in the N.C. Senate.
