RALEIGH – President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign released a digital ad campaign featuring footage from the president’s airport rally on Tuesday.

The event, which featured thousands of supporters at Smith Reynolds Airport, was one of the largest in the return of in-person campaign events in the general election campaign.

“I’m running for re-election to keep jobs at home, to put violent criminals behind bars, and to ensure the future belongs to America, not to China and other countries. If Biden wins, China wins and its as simple as that. If we win, America wins,” Trump said to cheers at Tuesday’s rally.

“Over the past three and a half years we have fixed broken trade deals, obliterated the ISIS caliphate, and we’re bringing our soldiers home. Secured American energy independence, and built the greatest economy in the world – and we’re going to do it again,” Trump said in remarks to the crowd.

The new ads part of a concerted effort the Trump campaign has been making in the state during the first days of the state’s absentee ballot window. President Trump has visited both in official and campaign capacities, and three of President Trump’s children have also made appearances in the past week in the state – Donald Trump Jr. in Hendersonville, Eric Trump in High Point, and Ivanka Trump in Raleigh. Ms. Trump is also appearing in Wilmington on Monday in a campaign “fireside chat,” according to the campaign.
