Over 300,000 without power as Hurricane Isaias moves past state

RALEIGH – Over 300,000 North Carolinians without power as Hurricane Isaias moved through eastern North Carolina overnight Monday night.

According to Duke Energy, the total number of customers without power as of 8 a.m. stood at 181,471. The NC Electric Cooperatives reported their number this morning at 115,300. Dominion Energy reported 40,943 in northeastern North Carolina.
