Gov. Roy Cooper will not announce school year plans at Wednesday briefing

RALEIGH – Gov. Roy Cooper will not announce his decision regarding the status of the 2020-21 school year on Wednesday. For weeks, Cooper had indicated he and his administration would make the announcement at the beginning of July. 

Tuesday night, word came via Gov. Cooper’s press office that Wednesday’s media briefing from the Emergency Operations Center would discuss the latest COVID-19 updates. 

Gov. Cooper is also expected to make an economic development announcement on Wednesday.
