ARLINGTON, Texas — David Azore had 25 points as Texas-Arlington defeated Appalachian State 66-56 on Thursday night.

Brian Warren had 16 points for Texas-Arlington (6-11, 2-4 Sun Belt Conference). Radshad Davis added 13 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Phillips had seven rebounds for the home team.

Kendall Lewis had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Mountaineers (9-8, 3-3). Justin Forrest added 15 points. He also had seven turnovers but only five assists. James Lewis Jr had 10 points.
Texas-Arlington takes on Coastal Carolina at home on Saturday. Appalachian State takes on Texas State on the road on Saturday.

Riller scores 30, lifts Charleston over Elon

ELON — Grant Riller had 30 points as Charleston defeated Elon 73-65 on Thursday night.

Riller converted all 11 of his foul shots and added seven rebounds.

Brevin Galloway had 12 points for Charleston (11-6, 5-0 Colonial Athletic Association), which earned its sixth straight victory. Sam Miller added seven rebounds.

Marcus Sheffield II had 19 points for the Phoenix (4-13, 0-4), who have now lost six games in a row. Simon Wright added 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Charleston faces William & Mary on the road on Saturday. Elon takes on UNC Wilmington at home on Saturday.

William & Mary tops UNC Wilmington

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Andy Van Vliet had 18 points and 11 rebounds as William & Mary topped UNC Wilmington 79-63 on Thursday night. Nathan Knight added 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Tribe. Knight also had five assists for the Tribe.

Luke Loewe had 14 points for William & Mary (12-5, 4-0 Colonial Athletic Conference), which won its fourth consecutive game. Bryce Barnes added 11 points.

Jaylen Sims had 21 points and six rebounds for the Seahawks (5-13, 0-5), who have now lost 10 games in a row. Ty Gadsden added 10 points.

William & Mary plays College of Charleston at home on Saturday. UNC Wilmington plays Elon on the road on Saturday.
