Raleigh – This weekend, the State Employees’ Credit Union is sponsoring paper shredding events to allow residents to shred personal papers for free. Shredding the documents can help protect against identity theft. Among the personal items recommended for destruction are preapproved credit card offers, old bills, out-of-date account statements and other personal documents that include confidential information. To find a location near you visit the calendar at ncsecu.org.
