Ex-Democratic Senate leader Reid being treated for pancreatic cancer

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former Democratic U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer, Politico reported on Monday, citing a person close to Reid.

Reid, who was a U.S. Senator from Nevada from 1987 to 2017 and Senate Majority Leader from 2007 to 2015, underwent surgery earlier on Monday at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and his doctors caught the cancer early, the person said, according to Politico.
