NC State’s football game against Florida State on Sept. 23 was considered a potential marquee matchup before the season began.
The Atlantic Division showdown will still receive regional network coverage on ABC, according to the schedule announced by the ACC on Monday. But between the Wolfpack’s opening game loss to South Carolina and a season-ending injury to Seminoles quarterback Deondre Francois, the game has been downgraded to the less-than-primetime noon time slot.
Among the other games on Sept. 23, the earlier than usual battle for the Victory Bell between Duke and North Carolina at Kenan Stadium will be played at 3:30 p.m. on ESPNU while Wake Forest’s trip to Appalachian State in Boone will kick off at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN3.
The rest of the ACC starting times for Sept. 23 includes: Kent State at Louisville at noon on Fox Sports Carolinas; Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech at 12:20 p.m. on the Raycom ACC Network; Old Dominion at Virginia Tech at 2 p.m. online on ACC Network Extra; Toledo at Miami at 3:30 on Fox Sports Carolinas; Boston College at Clemson at 3:30 p.m. on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2; and Syracuse at LSU, to be announced later today by the SEC.
