RALEIGH The Carolina Hurricanes announced their seven-game preseason schedule Thursday, which includes just two games at PNC Arena and one neutral site game in Saskatchewan.The Hurricanes open their exhibition slate with two road games in two nights, in Buffalo on Sept. 18 and in Tampa Bay on Sept. 19. Carolina returns home the next day, Sept. 20, to host Tampa Bay at 7 p.m. at PNC Arena.The team returns to action Sept. 23 in Washington before playing its next two games against the Edmonton Oilers. The first is Sept. 25 at Rogers Place, and the second is Sept. 27 at SaskTel Centre in Saskatchewan. The Hurricanes close their preseason schedule Sept. 29 when they host the Capitals at 7:30 p.m. It is the second straight season the Hurricanes will play seven exhibition games. Last season Carolina went 4-2-1 in the preseason, including winning three of four that went past regulation.
