Tiger Woods arrested for DUI in Jupiter

The legendary golfer was pulled over and arrested early Monday morning.

Tiger Woods was arrested and charged with driving under the influence early Monday morning in Jupiter, Fla.Woods, a Jupiter Island resident, was taken into custody at 3 a.m. ET, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He was booked at 7:18 a.m. and released on his own recognizance at 10:50 a.m.The 41-year-old Woods had fusion surgery on his back on April 19 — the fourth surgery on his back in the past three years.Woods, winner of 14 major titles, has not played in a competitive tournament since withdrawing from the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in February after a first-round 77 and continuing issues with his back.The week before, Woods missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open after sitting out all of 2016 until the Hero World Challenge in December.Woods said last week in his first comments since the April surgery that he has no plans to retire.”I want to say unequivocally, I want to play professional golf again,” Woods wrote on his website.
