ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchups announced with all four NC teams scheduled

Duke, the lone host from North Carolina, highlights the schedule with a clash against perennial powerhouse Michigan State

College basketball is still about five months away from tipping off, but it’s never too early to start salivating over the 2016-17 non conference matchups. Tonight’s teasers are courtesy of CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein with a report of the 2016 ACC/Big Ten challenge matchups.For the third consecutive year UNC, Duke, NC State and Wake Forest will help represent the ACC in the annual challenge.
Most notably, UNC (3-4 in road Challenge games) travels to Indiana for a rematch of the 2016 Sweet 16 game. Two months ago, the Tar Heels thumped the Hoosiers 101-86 in Philadelphia to advance to the Elite Eight. Michigan State is reportedly heading to Duke while Illinois will host N.C. State (1-7 on the road in the Challenge) and Wake Forest (5-2 on the road) will travel to Northwestern.Last season, NC State hosted Michigan and lost 66-59, and Wake Forest beat Rutgers on the road 69-68.
