RALEIGH With the election six days away, the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Donald Trump campaign are branching out to the battleground states with a heavy focus on North Carolina. In recent polls, Trump has surged ahead in N.C. by seven points, but as most strategists say, the only poll that counts is the one taken on Nov. 8. The campaigns have announced the following stops for the candidates and their surrogates.
