GREENVILLE – Pitt County Board of Elections is reporting that voting is going smoothly so far today with no lines. “We’ve had quiet a turnout – 63,000 so far. We’ve had approximately 50 percent of registered voters, which far exceeds 2012 turnout,” said Ginny Cooper, Chairman of the Pitt County Republican Party. “The voters are definitely coming out, overwhelmingly.”Polling places are staying open until 7:30 this evening.
