DURHAM – N.C. State Board of Elections spokesperson Patrick Gannon says Durham County Board of Elections must now present evidence that voting was disrupted this morning after a technical glitch occurred with computerized poll books. The glitch reportedly caused a county precinct to switch to paper authorization-to-vote forms. Evidence will be examined in a late afternoon phone call Tuesday. A Durham County Board of Elections official had previously said that Precinct 31 would remain open for an additional 90 minutes due to the delay. 1:23 p.m.Durham County polling place will remain open until 9 p.m. this evening. According to a Durham County of Board of Elections official, Precinct 31, the Bethesda Ruritan precinct, in southern Durham County was closed for about 90 minutes on Tuesday morning when they ran out of authorization-to-vote forms.
