RALEIGH — The state’s COVID-19 vaccination rates continue to trend upward following a sluggish rollout compared to almost every other state.

As of Feb. 8, CDC data shows the state with the 27th-highest rate of doses administered per 100,000 residents.

That puts the state around the middle following two months spent at or near the bottom of other state’s rates.

For residents with two doses, the state fares slight worse among other states, behind 28 others per 100,000.
