RALEIGH Justice Michael “Mike” Morgan was installed as associate justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina on Wednesday afternoon at the Law and Justice Building.Morgan has served as a judge for more than 27 years, which includes his time as a North Carolina administrative law judge, a Wake County district court judge and a superior court judge. He is a N.C. Equal Access to Justice Commission member and a National Judicial College member. He also serves on the Racial Ethnic Bias Consortium. One of the cases Morgan will tackle as associate justice is the state-level voter ID case. Morgan won 54.47 percent of the vote when he faced incumbent Justice Bob Edmunds in the November election.
