Dominated by left-wing speakers and a few radical unions, thousands of Japanese workers gathered in front of the Imperial Palace to pay their respects to the World Federation of Trade Unions now meeting in Tokyo. None of the members of the WFTU appeared at the gathering which includes representation from Russia.
