RALEIGH — The N.C. House passed a bill Tuesday that would increase the number of breweries allowed to distribute their own beer without using a wholesaler. The bill, H.B. 363, increases the cap on self-distributing from 25,000 barrels per year to 50,000 barrels. The bill, which passed with bipartisan support, now heads to the state Senate. The House also passed H.B. 389, which would allow the sale of alcoholic beverages at stadiums, athletic facilities, or arenas on the campus or property of a public college or university.
