NC State’s game against Clemson on Nov. 4 will likely determine which team represents the Atlantic Division in the ACC Championship game. Depending on the outcome of the Wolfpack’s game at Notre Dame this Saturday, it could also be a showdown of top 10 teams with national implications.
That’s why the ACC and its television partners have decided to wait before determining the starting time and network designation for the showdown between the Wolfpack and defending national champion Tigers.
By exercising a “six-day hold” on the game, ESPN will have until Sunday before announcing whether it will kick off at 3:30 p.m. or in prime time on either ABC or ESPN.
Among the starting times that were announced by the ACC on Monday, Wake Forest’s game at Notre Dame will be played at 3:30 p.m. with television coverage on NBC. North Carolina and Duke have the week off.
