Chicago Bears coach John Fox said No. 2 overall pick Mitch Trubisky had a “great camp” during the just-completed three-day rookie practices.Trubisky will now focus on other offseason goals, including getting ready for organized team activities for veterans and rookies later this month and the mandatory minicamp in the middle of June.”You’ve got to get him up to speed in your offense,” Fox told the Chicago Sun-Times of Trubisky’s offseason goals. “So I think a guy, regardless of position, has to get comfortable and know what to do — and how to do it — and then just really cut loose and play.”There’ll be a lot of classroom work — and thank God we’ve got all the offseason to do that. And I think he’ll do just fine.”The Bears made a trade with the San Francisco 49ers to move up one spot in the NFL Draft to pick the former North Carolina quarterback expected to back up starter Mike Glennon, who signed a three-year, $45 million deal to replace Jay Cutler.Trubisky started just one season at North Carolina but set school single-season records for passing yardage (3,748) and touchdown passes (30) last season. He also completed 68 percent of his passes and was intercepted just six times.”I came out here, had a lot of fun,” Trubisky told reporters Friday after the first day of minicamp. “Just getting with the new centers, getting that rhythm, getting that timing and chemistry. It’s all about getting better every day.”
