UNC warns fans to be on lookout for counterfeit hoop tickets

Only tickets purchased through the UNC ticket office and the StubHub link at GoHeels.com/tickets can be guaranteed as authentic

North Carolina has issued a warning to fans thinking about buying tickets through the secondary market to its final two games, Wednesday against Louisville and March 4 against Duke. Be on the lookout for counterfeits. “There have been several recent reports of the sale of counterfeit tickets which appear to be authentic,” the university announced in a release. “Fans are encouraged to use caution when purchasing tickets from a third party and only purchase tickets from a trusted source. Fans will not be admitted to the Smith Center with counterfeit tickets. Anyone seeing suspicious activity on campus, including the sale of questionable tickets for athletic events, should contact UNC Police.” The statement went on to say that only tickets purchased through the UNC ticket office and the StubHub link at GoHeels.com/tickets can be guaranteed as valid.
