North Carolina will be without backup center Tony Bradley for Saturday’s game against No. 9 Florida State because of a concussion suffered during the first half of Wednesday’s win at Wake Forest. Bradley came down hard and hit his head on the floor after running into the Deacons’ Dinos Mitoglou in the lane as he made a move to the basket. Tar Heels coach Roy Williams said Friday that Bradley is improving, but did not have a definitive answer as to how long the 6-foot-11 freshman would be sidelined. “He said he felt better and we talked about how it happened and he was in good spirits after the game in the locker room,” Williams said. “He didn’t remember too much of it, but it’s just a fact that he’s not going to play (Saturday) and hopefully things will clear up quickly.” Bradley averages 8.1 points and 5.7 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game for the 11th-ranked Tar Heels and was just beginning to play well again after going through a slump in late December and early this month. His absence will leave UNC with just three players to man the two post positions, with 6-8 sophomore Luke Maye the only backup to senior starters Kennedy Meeks and Isaiah Hicks. That lack of depth will likely force Williams into using a small lineup more than he’d like against a Seminoles team that features six players 6-8 or taller — including 7-4 Chris Koumadje and 7-1 Michael Ojo. UNC is also scheduled to play Syracuse at home on Monday.
